UHCL announces interim vice president for student affairs

Daniel M. Maxwell, current Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs in the University of Houston System, will join University of Houston-Clear Lake as interim vice president for student affairs, effective Monday, Aug. 6. This will follow the Aug. 3 retirement of Darlene Biggers, who has served at the university for 23 years.

Members of the University of Houston-Clear Lake Quality Enhancement Program Leadership Team celebrated the end of its year with a reception in December. During the event, UH-Clear Lake President Ira K. Blake recognized university faculty members who have completed the Quality Enhancement Program professional development workshops, developed Applied Critical Thinking-endorsed syllabi, taught the Applied Critical Thinking course and submitted an assessment to the university’s Office of Institutional Effectiveness.
