University of Houston-Clear Lake College of Education hosted a town-hall meeting to discuss the potential for a new PreK-3 (3 years old) Educator Certificate with Marnie Glaser, Texas Education Agency’s executive director of Early Childhood Education.

Representatives from area universities, community colleges, school districts and charter schools came from across Houston, Galveston and surrounding areas to engage in discussion and offer recommendations. Glaser will take the input back to the TEA and the State Board for Educators Certification (SBEC) for further consideration.
