Topics sought for UHCL Quality Enhancement Plan

University of Houston-Clear Lake invites faculty, staff, students and the community to submit topics for Quality Enhancement Plan consideration through April 30. The UHCL Topic Selection Committee will review the submitted topics and select one or a combination of several for the central topic or theme of the plan.

UHCL hires new coordinator for student diversity

Creating an inclusive culture on campus is a key factor in facilitating student success, and that begins with ensuring and supporting a diverse student body, says Joshua Quinn, University of Houston-Clear Lake’s new coordinator of women, gender and sexuality programs. His goal is to build community, advocate and ally for people who are part of the university’s LGBTQ+ population. Quinn’s office is part of the Division of Student Affairs, in the Office of Student Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

UHCL Family Art Day brings families together with free events, crafts and fun

One of Alex Malone’s missions as managing director of University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Bayou Theater is to offer more family-friendly events to make the arts more accessible to the community. UH-Clear Lake’s inaugural Family Art Day, to be held in the Bayou Building on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 1-4 p.m., is the first of what Malone hopes will become a monthly Clear Lake tradition.
