UHCL behavior analyst uses telehealth for global autism outreach

Research Associate Loukia Tsami spends her workday providing telehealth services to families of children with autism in Texas as part of a grant-funded project at the University of Houston Clear Lake’s Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities. But during the evenings and on weekends, she could be ‘virtually’ anywhere –in up to 14 countries– as part of her efforts to bring critical services to families around the world.

Community partner's support for Bayou Theater enables program expansion

University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Bayou Theater takes its role as Clear Lake’s premier destination for the arts very seriously. Opus Ocean Grille owner Charlie Felts is equally as serious about his love for live entertainment. After just one visit to the Bayou Theater last year, the Clear Lake Shores restaurant owner became a sponsor for the theater’s 2017-18 season. He decided to continue demonstrating his love of bringing people together to share culture and celebrate the human spirit by renewing his sponsorship for next season, enabling the number of scheduled performances for the 2018-19 season to rise from 10 to 17.
