In May 2017, Madison Hastings graduated from UHCL with a bachelor’s degree in behavioral
sciences and is now a first-year law student. While at UHCL, Madison was mentored
by three professors who encouraged her to participate in research and present at academic
conferences. She observed that some of her peers were left out of these opportunities
due to cost. Soon after graduation, Madison and her family established a program fund
to help more students enrich their academic pursuits through experiential learning.
