UHCL’s Orientation Leaders gear up for Welcome Week

Welcome Week begins Aug. 28 at the University of Houston-Clear Lake campus. UH-Clear Lake President Ira K. Blake (center) meets with Orientation Leaders Caila Vyoral, Natalia Marfil (kneeling,) Amanda Newman, Miles Shellshear, and Izuh Ikpeama to discuss the week’s activities, which include daily giveaways and prizes, a picnic on the plaza, and culminating in the Welcome Back Bash. Orientation Leaders help new Hawks meet other students, faculty and staff and help them become familiar with the campus, and its resources and services. Students are encouraged to register for a Student Orientation and Registration session upon admission to the university.
