UHCL Pearland Campus hosts Open House

The expanding University of Houston-Clear Lake Pearland Campus held an Open House event earlier in April for prospective students seeking information or enrollment in undergraduate and graduate programs. Attendees toured the campus, talked with enrollment advisers and applied for admission. Pictured, attendees Chris Cunningham and Heather Childress sign in with help from student staff workers Andrea Rodriguez, Raj Nigam and Hector Vargas.

UHCL’s Pearland Campus offers undergraduate degrees in accounting, management, behavioral sciences, criminology, psychology, nursing (RN-to-BSN), and interdisciplinary studies (with several certifications and certificate programs in ESL and special education).

Graduate students can pursue a master’s degree in behavioral sciences, criminology, psychology, educational management (with certifications in principalship and special education), counseling (with certifications in college counseling and licensed professional counseling), as well as a doctorate in educational leadership.

Of those who attended, at least 80 percent participated in the application process.

A $24 million Health Sciences and Classroom Building will open in spring 2019, which will allow expansion of programs in nursing and training in other healthcare careers. The campus is located at 1200 Pearland Parkway in Pearland.
