Earn certificate in supplier financial analysis risk

Learn fundamentals of information security at UHCL

Grow your career in information security this summer by obtaining the Network Management and Security certification from the Cyber Security Institute at University of Houston-Clear Lake, 2700 Bay Area Blvd., Houston.

Begin by registering for the course “Fundamentals of Information Security,” which takes place May 18-19, 25-26, and June 1-2 and 8-9, Fridays 3-8 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. The course covers the necessary basics of security technologies. Students will learn more about secure access, risk management, and secure operations management.

UH-Clear Lake Pearland Campus to close for water shutoff

Due to ongoing construction that will require the water to be shut off, the University of Houston-Clear Lake Pearland Campus will be closed between Monday, May 14 through Friday, May 18.

In spring 2019, UHCL Pearland Campus is scheduled to open a new, $24.6 million Health and Sciences Classroom Building, which will house expanded healthcare-related academic programs.

For the duration of the closure, UHCL Pearland Campus staff and professors will relocate to the UHCL main campus, 2700 Bay Area Blvd., Houston. Students and visitors will not be allowed on the Pearland campus.

Students 7-13 can join Youth Birding Club at UHCL

Youth Birding Club meets on the third Saturday of every month at UHCL’s Environmental Institute of Houston, University of Houston-Clear Lake, 2700 Bay Area Blvd., Houston. This May 19, from 9-11 a.m., participants will visit with a birding educator and explore the many bird species that live on this wooded campus.

The club is open to children aged 7-13 and their parents and grandparents interested in birds and birding. No experience necessary. An adult may be accompanied by up to three children. Mundi Ball to support UHCL’s Art Gallery

Celebrate the arts with a Spanish-themed celebration benefitting the University of Houston-Clear Lake Art Gallery located in the Bayou Building, 2700 Bay Area Blvd., Houston. Enjoy tapas, an open bar with signature cocktail, Spanish guitar and a live Flamenco performance. A silent auction will offer dynamic artworks, fun packages and more.
