Las Cafeteras
Blending Latino roots with East L.A. sound, Las Cafeteras create moving beats and rhymes paired with inspiring lyrics that tell modern day stories. The group will perform as part of the 2019-20 season at UHCL's Bayou Theater on Oct. 20, 2019 at 7:30 p.m.

University of Houston-Clear Lake Bayou Theater will present 25 performances for its 2019-20 season, a mix of classical, blues, bluegrass and rock concerts as well as one of Shakespeare’s most recognized plays—“The Tempest.” Single ticket sales begin July 1.

“Most shows have reserved seating, so this is your opportunity to get your tickets early and get the seats you’d like,” said Director of Theater and Cultural Arts Alex Malone. “We have an exciting lineup of shows and we’re offering great discounts.”

Seniors (age 55 and over) can buy a ticket for $15 for any show. UH-Clear Lake faculty, staff, alumni and retirees can purchase a ticket for $12, and any student from any college or university may purchase a ticket for $10 if they present their ID.

Subscription packages are still available and that’s the cheapest way to get tickets,” Malone said.

Malone said that season highlights include five-time Grammy-winning acapella artists Ladysmith Black Mambazo, multi-Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Michael Martin Murphey and the U.S. Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors, who will be performing a free concert.

Tickets can be purchased online or by calling the Bayou Theater box office. For more information, visit the Bayou Theater online or call 281-283-3024.
