Buddhist monks return to UHCL, share spiritual traditions

For the second time since 2017, five Tibetan monks from the Gaden Shartse Norling Monastery in Mundgod, India have made University of Houston-Clear Lake a stop on their “Sacred Arts of Tibet” tour of the U.S. to share Buddhist philosophy and demonstrate the construction of a sacred mandala to students, faculty and the community.

Broadway singer to perform, debut art exhibit at UHCL

Live shows resume at Bayou Theater, Mercury opens new season

After last year’s almost blanket cancellation of live theater performances, the Bayou Theater at University of Houston-Clear Lake is announcing its new 2021-22 season, presenting 11 new, in-person shows covering numerous genres. In keeping with tradition, the Mercury Chamber Orchestra will open the new season on Friday, Sept. 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Fine Arts students' work featured in exhibition
