UHCL alum says Spaceport internship began his engineering career

Mitchell Jefferies knew he couldn’t have gone from intern to full-time avionics engineer at Intuitive Machines without the guidance and support from his professors in the computer engineering program at University of Houston-Clear Lake. Jefferies earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering in 2019 and has never second-guessed his decision to transfer to UHCL.

Over 1,000 University of Houston-Clear Lake fall 2021 graduates will receive their degrees and be recognized during an in-person commencement ceremony on Dec. 12 at 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. at Minute Maid Park. Of those, 645 will be recognized for receiving their undergraduate degrees, and 363 will receive their graduate degrees.
