Astronaut Sunita L. Williams shares advice, experience with young students

Astronaut Sunita L. Williams shared her experiences during spaceflight and the future of commercial spaceflight with young students attending United Space School (USS) at University of Houston-Clear Lake, a program of the Foundation for International Space Education. Williams was among lecturers for the summer program, which invites students from all over the world to participate in educational activities surrounding spaceflight and aerospace. She is a veteran of two space missions and is currently one of the astronauts training to fly initial test flights for the first commercial spacecrafts, the Boeing CST-100 Starliner and the SpaceX Dragon. Students had the opportunity to ask questions about Williams’ experiences and receive her guidance in completing their project, “Manned Mission to Mars.” Learn more about UH-Clear Lake degree programs in science, technology, engineering and math at www.uhcl.edu/science-engineering/.
