College-bound high school seniors accelerate college path at UHCL

College-bound high school seniors can get a head start on their college careers during summer sessions at University of Houston-Clear Lake – regardless which college they attend in the fall.

The new JumpStart initiative allows freshman students admitted for the fall 2018 semester to begin taking courses in the summer, and for summer visiting students to complete core courses at UHCL and transfer credits to other Texas institutions.

Summer courses are taught during four-week and five-week sessions so students can save time and money earning transferrable credit hours, focus on specific courses and their content and get convenient access to campus resources. Financial aid is available for qualifying students.

Open registration for summer sessions begins April 20 and runs through June 1. The five-week summer session begins June 4 and the four-week session begins July 9. For more session dates, visit www.uhcl.edu/academics/resources/academic-calendar.
