Last October, the UHCL Alumni Association recognized Michael Larrañaga, Ph.D., with an Early Achievement Award for his groundbreaking work as a principal global sustainability consultant with Ramboll. A big picture thinker, Michael participates in a Department of Homeland Security think tank to develop technology solutions to keep first responders safe. Now, Michael is playing an instrumental role in developing a new process safety management degree program at UHCL that combines his expertise and passion for first responder safety with UHCL strengths in industrial hygiene and safety.
