Amid concerns about moving into college residence halls during the COVID-19 pandemic, University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Director of Student Housing and Residence Life Matthew Perry emphasizes safety and common sense as students prepare to move into Hunter Hall this fall—as well as masks and lots of disinfectant and hand sanitizer.
“If students do happen to test positive or have been exposed to the virus, it’s good to think ahead and develop an isolation plan,” Perry said. “It’s helpful to consider packing an emergency COVID-19 bag in case a student has to quarantine.”
In order for a friend or a roommate to simply grab a bag and take it to the student’s location, Perry suggests the following items collected in advance could reduce the stress of going into quarantine:
