University of Houston-Clear Lake students are invited to share their thoughts on how to improve the racial climate on campus as the university continues efforts to create a more inclusive culture.

Students will receive an invitation through their student email to fill out a survey from the National Association of Collegiate Campus Climates (NACCC) that includes a unique link specific to them. The NACCC survey is based on more than a decade of the University of Southern California Race and Equity Center's qualitative climate studies at colleges and universities across the country. In addition, a 14-member content team composed of race, equity, and inclusion experts from across the United States convened to identify the most important survey content areas and questions in the field of campus racial climate.

The survey will be open from April 6 through May 4.

What is the NACCC?

So, what is the National Assessment of Collegiate Campus Climates? A new national quantitative survey on campus racial climate specifically designed for undergraduate students at community colleges and four-year institutions. This is where your voice can be heard to create change.

Why should I take the survey?

Take the survey to be an active participant in inspiring change at UH-Clear Lake. With your answers, university leadership will receive valuable information that they can use to improve the racial climate on campus and the experiences of all students.

Why should I take my time to complete another survey?

By completing this survey, you are an active participant in inspiring change on your campus. Your voice matters! As a student, you know UHCL better than anyone. Without your input, important aspects of campus life may be unintentionally ignored. But with your answers, university leadership will receive valuable information that they can use to improve the racial climate on your campus and the experiences of all students.

Students who complete the NACCC survey will be automatically entered into a daily drawing for a chance to win a $25 gift card to the UH-Clear Lake Bookstore. At the end of the NACCC Survey, three grand prize winners will be entered into a drawing to win an Apple iPad, Beats by Dre Headphones, or Beats by Dre Earbuds.
