Students share research, learn trends in Human Factors psych from industry experts

University of Houston-Clear Lake graduate students pursuing a Master of Science with a Concentration in Applied Cognitive Psychology shared their original research with industry experts and peers as part of the 15th Annual Houston Human Factors Symposium in April. In the study of Human Factors, specialists apply principles and methods of cognitive psychology to design and improve human-machine interface. The one-day event brought engineers, designers, developers, and human factors and ergonomics specialists to UHCL to discuss research, trends and case studies in the field. Researchers and practitioners from in and around Texas presented research in healthcare, aerospace, industrial safety, usability design and more. UHCL students who presented at the event included Robin Richter, Jaqueline Khamma, Maria Valladares (above), Michael Pickett, William Althoff and Tyler Duke (not pictured) along with students from other Texas universities.
