Trauma treatment, ethical practices among topics at symposium

Mental health practitioners throughout the state participated in a variety of professional development lectures and workshops during the 29th Annual Emily G. Sutter Symposium for Mental and Behavioral Health held at University of Houston-Clear Lake in early April. Peace of Mind Foundation founder and Baylor College of Medicine Assistant Professor Elizabeth McIngvale presented “The Importance of Mental Health Programs for Marginalized Communities and the Positive Impact of Mental Health Services on the Healing Process.”
