U.S. Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors to perform free concert at Bayou Theater

The U.S. Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors, the Army’s official touring jazz orchestra will be performing a wide variety of
styles from Dixieland and swing classics at University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Bayou Theater on Friday, Nov. 8, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are free and open to the public.
The orchestra, known as “America’s Big Band,” plays jazz favorites from artists like
Duke Ellington, Count Basie, modern jazz and beyond. The 19-member ensemble tours
nationally and internationally as directed by the Department of the Army and serves
as a liaison between the Army and the American people. Its primary mission is to connect
America to its Army through the universal language of music.
