Delegates from Ocean Edu Language Training Institute in Vietnam visited University
of Houston-Clear Lake on June 19, 2019 to discuss the opening of a new U.S. branch
to facilitate incoming college students from their institution. Ocean Edu is the largest
English language institution in Vietnam, with over 60 branches in 30 cities across
the country.
“Ocean Edu is expanding globally and the focus of their visit is to bring Vietnamese
students to study at UHCL," said Assistant Vice President of Global Learning and Strategy Gigi Do. “We’d also like to work out study abroad opportunities in Vietnam for UHCL students and create internship opportunities there for education
majors, as well as other program partnerships.”
Do said that creating new global partnerships at UHCL is among her highest priorities.
“A global partnership with Ocean Edu will provide us the opportunity to prepare our
students to be thoughtful, engaged and world-ready citizens and provide them with
the intercultural knowledge they need to succeed as future leaders.”
