UHCL welcomes UHS Board of Regents to campus Feb. 28

For the first time since 2012, the University of Houston System (UHS) Board of Regents will conduct its full board meeting and committee meetings at University of Houston-Clear Lake.

On Thursday, Feb. 28, the board will visit the campus and hold its meetings in the Bayou Building’s Garden and Forest Rooms.

A schedule of the day’s meetings is as follows:

9 a.m. - Endowment Management Committee Meeting
10 a.m. - Audit and Compliance Committee Meeting
11 a.m. - Academic and Student Success Committee Meeting
1:30 p.m. - Facilities, Construction and Master Planning Committee Meeting
1:45 p.m. - Finance and Administration Committee Meeting
3 p.m. - Board of Regents Meeting

Meetings are open to the public and will be broadcast live.

The Board of Regents is the governing body of the UH System, which includes UHCL, the University of Houston, University of Houston-Downtown, University of Houston-Victoria and Houston Public Media (KUHF 88.7 FM and HoustonPBS).

Nine members and a Student Regent constitute the UH System Board of Regents. Members and officers are as follows:

UH System Chancellor Renu Khator will be in attendance with members of the UH System leadership team as well as UHCL President Ira K. Blake, UHD President Juan Sánchez Muñoz and UHV President Robert K. Glenn.

With increasing enrollment as a 4-year university and our new, innovative educational facilities, our outstanding faculty are preparing more students who will become confident, competent graduates destined to have greater societal impact. We thank the UH System Board of Regents and Chancellor Khator for their support.”
