Belinda Marshall was named Student of the Year by the Gulf Coast chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals. Marshall received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2020 and is currently working toward her Master of Science in Occupational Health and Safety.

She received the award through the National Science Teaching Association, which allowed her to attend a conference in Houston and attend workshops with other science educators from around the country for professional development.
