In partnership with DartDrones, one of the nation’s leaders in drone training, UH-Clear Lake at Pearland is offering a 3-day basic sUAS flight training and 107 pilot test preparation program for those who seek to gain professional drone piloting skills necessary for FAA certification.

For Edgar Tijerina, who is pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from University of Houston-Clear Lake, taking a course called Global Healthcare and traveling to Harlaxton College in Grantham, England will impact him far beyond what he lists on his resume.

University of Houston-Clear Lake President Richard Walker has named Christopher Maynard as senior vice president for Academic Affairs and Provost, effective June 16. Maynard has held the position on an interim basis at UH-Clear Lake since September 2021.

Belinda Marshall was named Student of the Year by the Gulf Coast chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals. Marshall received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2020 and is currently working toward her Master of Science in Occupational Health and Safety.
