Glynn Lunney, former Apollo and Gemini flight director at NASA, passed away on March 19. He and his wife, Marilyn, are known at UHCL for being founding members of the university's CLASP program. CLASP has drawn attendees from all over the community for nearly 20 years.

Over 1,050 University of Houston-Clear Lake fall 2020 graduates earned their degrees and will be recognized during a virtual ceremony on Dec. 12 at 4 p.m. Of those, 723 will be recognized for receiving their undergraduate degrees, and 331 will be recognized for receiving graduate degrees.

Although the annual UH-Clear Lake Alumni Association’s Alumni Celebration was virtual this year, at least 300 Hawks around the country attended, honoring six award recipients and raising funds for the critical needs of current UHCL students.

Trinity Danielson had just transferred to University of Houston-Clear Lake to complete his bachelor’s degree and had registered for a heavy load of coursework when his wife had their second child. Within a week, his son was critically ill and hospitalized and Danielson said he reached out to his professors for support.
