UHCL honors veterans at ceremony

For the fifth year, Gulf Coast Educators Federal Credit Union employees continue their
support of University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Center for Autism and Developmental
Disabilities. The employees – many of whom are UHCL alumni – held office fundraisers
as part of an ongoing “Give Local” campaign to support area agencies and organizations,
particularly those that support teachers and education. They presented a $1,000 check
to the CADD program.

Groat, GCEFCU CEO Linda Lukaszewski, Professor of Psychology and CADD Director Dorothea
Lerman, Jelisa Scott, GCEFCU Loan Officer Breanna Kenney and Rachel Hoffman. Groat,
Scott and Hoffman are Autism Services Program managers. The photo was taken by GCEFCU
Senior Vice President Jamieson Mackay (MBA 2003) in CADD offices.
Founded in 1948, the credit union was created by, and for, people who work in education
in Harris, Brazoria and Galveston counties.
UH-Clear Lake established CADD in 2008 to address the needs of parents, teachers and
caregivers of children with autism spectrum disorder. For more information, visit
