UHCL Healthcare Administration holds open house

University of Houston-Clear Lake President Ira K. Blake joined about 50 students, alumni and faculty for a UH-Clear Lake Healthcare Administration Open House at the university’s facility in the Texas Medical Center. Event-goers toured the recently expanded facility and heard program updates from Blake, UHCL College of Business Dean Ed Waller and Raymond Khoury, chair of UHCL’s Healthcare Administration program. This year’s open house was an inaugural event for the newly launched Healthcare Administration Alumni Steering Committee. Plans are now being made for future Healthcare Administration alumni, which may include educational symposia featuring nationally recognized experts in healthcare, networking opportunities for career advancement, mentoring to assist early and mid-career professionals, and fundraisers for student scholarships. Steering committee members include Mitali Paul, chair; Chris Mathews, vice chair; Suzette Bagalman, secretary; Amineh Baradar; Lee Holmes; Randy Garcia; Tammy Suess; and Zach Weyand.
