UHCL and ACC leaders create easy pathway for transfer students with agreement

University of Houston-Clear Lake President Ira K. Blake and Alvin Community College President Christal M. Albrecht signed an articulation agreement in another step toward providing new opportunities for college students. The agreement establishes a transfer protocol to make it easier for students graduating from ACC to transition to UHCL to earn a bachelor’s degree.

The agreement builds on a partnership which began in fall 2017 to offer ACC courses at UHCL Pearland Campus. The partnership provides ACC students access to freshman- and sophomore-level general education classes.

“By expanding our partnership, we increase access to opportunities, enhanced competencies and prepare citizens who lead with care and drive prosperity,” Blake said at a signing event, held at UHCL Pearland Campus.
