UHCL offers network management, security courses

University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Cyber Security Institute is offering Network Management and Security Information certification courses this summer. Students who successfully complete all four courses (NMS-1, NMS-2, NMS-3, and NMS-4) will be awarded a UH-Clear Lake certificate in Network Management & Security. Students who have successfully completed an individual course will be awarded a UH-Clear Lake certificate for that course.

The five-day, four-week classes cover the fundamental technology, concepts, principles and practices of modern information-security operations, including access control, authentication, authorization, and accounting, network security protocols, policy construction and enforcement mechanisms, contingency planning, and application security.

In addition to intensive five-day classes, some classes are offered as weekend-only classes, where students meet on Fridays and Saturdays.

Students can register for all four classes or register for individual classes. For course requirements and fees, visit  www.uhcl.edu/cyber-security-institute/workforce-development/network-management-and-security/nms-information
