Time is running out to register your young student in one or more of University of Houston-Clear Lake’s summer camps. With more than 100 camps to choose from, students can learn robotics, animation, photography, writing, blogging, nature, engineering and more.
From fishing to photography, robotics to rockets – whatever your school-age child’s interests – you’re likely to find something for them to do this summer at one of University of Houston-Clear Lake’s summer camps. Registrations are now open.
Parents can choose from more than 90 camps that meet their children’s needs or interests from UH-Clear Lake’s annual Kids U Summer Camps, for students Pre-K through ninth grade.
Organized by UHCL’s Center for Educational Programs, camps include character development, early childhood, science, math, technology and digital photography. Students can also learn how to knit at the Cultural Academy, or read, review and blog about books at the Literacy Academy.
Classes start June 3. Prices for each half-day camp are $159. Employees and students of UHCL will receive a $25 discount per camp to register their own children only. For more information and to register, visit www.uhcl.edu/education/centers-initiatives/center-educational-programs/summer-camps.
Students in grades 6-8 can work in teams and gain hands-on experience as they learn about engineering design processes, robotics and more at the Hawk STEAM Academy in two consecutive week-long sessions:
