UHCL honors veterans at ceremony

University of Houston-Clear Lake’s 42nd annual art sale runs from Nov. 26 to Dec. 3 in Atrium 1 of the Bayou Building, 2700 Bay Area Blvd., Houston.
Browse local artistic creations including framed paintings, pottery and sculpture. Sponsored by the UH-Clear Lake Art Association, the sale is one of the longest-running student organization events.
Hours are Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. For more information, email at artassociation@uhcl.edu.
Mark that brand-new calendar for a six-week, women-only storytelling class at University of Houston-Clear Lake, Wednesdays, 10 a.m. – noon, from Jan. 30, 2019 through March 6, 2019.
Taught by author and playwright Deborah Nowinski, the course will help you articulate those defining moments in your life to create a story that can be passed down from generation to generation.

Learn a new language and get personal attention from expert teachers in University of Houston-Clear Lake’s non-credit Foreign Language Program. Small classes and private tutoring are available for Spanish, Chinese, German, Japanese, Russian and more.
Registration is Nov. 10 through Jan. 21, 2019, for classes that begin Jan. 22.

An exhibition of art created by art faculty will be on display in University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Art Gallery, 2700 Bay Area Blvd., Houston. The exhibition runs through Dec. 13. The exhibition are free and open to the public.
University of Houston-Clear Lake and all of its offices will be closed Nov. 22 and Nov. 23 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
