Dr. WIlliam A. Staples 'looks ahead' in last lecture

University of Houston-Clear Lake President William A. Staples will share his thoughts about the state of higher education in America – and how it affects the future of the institution – in a lecture titled, “UHCL: A Look Ahead.” The lecture is Wednesday, June 14, 2-3 p.m., in UHCL’s Bayou Building Garden Room, 2700 Bay Area Blvd., Houston. The discussion kicks off the university Center for Faculty Development’s Last Lecture Series, which will feature retiring faculty members’ parting thoughts to the university community and answers the question, “If you could give one more lecture, what would you tell the university community?”

Staples, who is stepping down as president in August after leading UHCL for more than 22 years, served as the university’s fourth president.

For more information about this lecture or the series, call the Center for Faculty Development, 281-283-3291.
