Statement from UHCL administrators on Santa Fe tragedy

Dear UHCL Community:
This morning, an unimaginable tragedy took place at Santa Fe High School. We, at UH-Clear Lake are devastated to hear that this incident occurred. This senseless act of violence hits close to home. It is within our student region and, therefore, it impacts us all.
We urge our students, faculty and staff to take care of themselves, and to get the counseling support needed to make it through this time of loss. We hope you are able to do the same. For those who know the students and families who were affected, we extend our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to you.
This tragedy is heartbreaking for all of us. Stay close to your loved ones and offer support to those who may not have family or friends nearby.
